Bio:

Jasline is the Principal Pet Grooming Instructor at Pawrus® Pet Grooming Academy and Pawrus® Pet Grooming Studio, as well as the COO and Co-founder at Pawrus® Group. She is currently not taking on any new pet grooming clients as she is on medical leave until further notice.

Prior to her career in pet grooming, Jasline worked as a Business Development Executive at an Information Technology (IT) firm in Singapore. Her passion for pet grooming ignited when she co-founded Pawrus® in 2014.

Her extensive hands-on experience with pets and their owners has led her to recognize the crucial role of grooming in maintaining a pet’s physical health. However, she also observed that traditional grooming methods can negatively impact pets’ emotional well-being, causing fear, anxiety, and stress. Many grooming procedures are invasive and forceful, often prioritizing aesthetics over the animal’s comfort. These practices can create long-lasting behavioral issues, weaken the bond between pets and their owners, and compromise animal welfare. Jasline’s focus is on improving the human-animal bond through positive and supportive grooming experiences, particularly for fearful and aggressive pets. She is especially interested in Fear Free and Creative Asian Fusion grooming techniques for dogs and cats.

Over the past eleven years, Jasline has achieved remarkable milestones, including setting the Singapore National Record for earning the Quadruple Best Technical Awards (1st Place) in the Asian Fusion, C, B, and A Categories of the Singapore Kennel Club (SKC) Grooming Certification Examination on her first attempt. She has also received the Overall Outstanding Award (Best Groomer in Show) from SKC in both 2018 and 2019. No other professional in Singapore has matched this accomplishment. A sought-after speaker, she has presented in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. In 2019, Jasline earned her Kennel Club of Taiwan (KCT) Trimmer and Handler Certification and Japan Kennel Club (JKC) Trimmer Certification, becoming one of only two JKC Certified Trimmers in Singapore. In 2022, she qualified in three categories of the SKC Level A and was awarded the title of SKC Silver Master Groomer.

As an Adjunct Lecturer with the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) Continuing Education & Training (CET) Division, Jasline teaches dog parents the fundamentals of dog grooming in the Basic Dog Grooming – Positive Methods Short Course and cat parents the fundamentals of cat grooming in the Basic Cat Grooming – Positive Methods Short Course every quarter.

She is currently training to become a SKC Grooming Judge under the Grooming Judges Training Scheme (GJTS) and serves as Secretary on the SKC Grooming Committee. Jasline is also working towards her Certified Feline Master Groomer (CFMG) credentials.

Her vision is to make pet grooming widely understood and practiced using professional, positive methods that prioritize individual welfare. She aims to help pet parents and their companions build lasting, meaningful relationships through creative and enriching grooming experiences.
