CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
A Pawrus® Certified Partner™ (PCP™) is a Distinguished Certificant who has Graduated with Highest Distinction (A+), High Distinction (A) or Distinction (A-) from a Pawrus® Elite Professional Program. Certificants must also be minimum 18 years old and above, sign the PCP™ Pledge and abide to the PCP™ Standards of Practice to obtain Certification.
The PCP™ Pledge ensures a Certificant’s firm commitment to positive methods, while the PCP™ Standards of Practice affirms that Certificants practice professionally while adhering to a well-defined code of ethics.
To maintain PCP™ Certification, Certificants must meet strict requirements yearly, including staying an active Pawrus® Member, meeting Continuing Education Units (CEUs) requirements, and renewing their commitment to the Pledge and Standards of Practice.
Graduates of Pawrus® Elite Professional Programs who meet all Certification Requirements will be considered by the Group for PCP™ Certification.
THE CERTIFICATION PROCESS
Meeting all Certification Requirements does not guarantee that the Group will offer PCP™ Certification to a Graduate. Upon fulfilling all Certification Requirements, the Board of Directors will objectively evaluate each application, on a case-by-case basis. The final decision lies with the Board of Directors. No appeals will be entertained.
If a Top Graduate is offered PCP™ Certification, they can choose to either accept or decline the Certification. However, if a Top Graduate declines Certification, they will be required to reattempt the Pawrus® Certified Partner Examination and re-apply to be reconsidered. Reattempts at the Pawrus® Certified Partner Examination is discretionarily offered.
Graduates who Pass with Merit (B+), Pass (B/B-) or Students who Fail (C/D/E) will not be offered Certification.
Graduates who fail to meet any Certification Requirements; declines the Certification; accepts but then neglects to meet any maintenance requirements for Certification can only market themselves as a Professional Dog Trainer or a Professional Dog Groomer.
We draw this distinction for potential clients to identify if an individual has graduated from our prestigious program and if he / she is continuing to commit in only using the positive methods taught in the program.
